Resilience & service
A personal journey.
A lasting purpose.
Having survived four types of cancers, pulmonary embolism, and peripheral neuropathy between 2008–2011, Dana became determined to reclaim her health through intentional living and whole foods nutrition. Through her personal healing journey, she discovered firsthand how leafy greens, whole foods, and lifestyle changes could become both nourishment and medicine. Her experiences inspired a lifelong mission to educate and empower others to live healthier lives in a world filled with environmental and dietary toxins.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dana spent over three decades supporting military life and service, an experience that strengthened her leadership, resilience, adaptability, advocacy, organization, and commitment to serving others across diverse communities and environments.
Health Through Education©
Turning experience
into education.
As a passionate educator and wellness advocate, Dana’s mission is to keep clients and communities informed about clean living, healthy nutrition, and practical environmental changes that support long-term wellness. In 2014, she founded Head 2 Toe Change LLC, where she began creating Personalized Wellness Plans designed to serve as individualized blueprints for sustainable lifestyle transformation. Her work focuses on enhancing “Health Through Education©” for youth, adults, senior citizens, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Dana currently has clients in 17 states and 4 countries.
From 2017–2025, Dana founded Lifestyle Journey from Head 2 Toe, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created to address the growing obesity and mental health epidemic through agricultural education and wellness awareness. Through Harvest 2 Table Farm School, children and families experienced hands-on learning through growing, harvesting, preparing, and understanding the health benefits of real food. The program’s foundational message taught “You Are What You Eat.”
Love in the House
Creating space
for authentic healing.
In 2026, Dana founded the “Love in the House” Foundation, an initiative dedicated to creating healing spaces where love can exist without masks. Through this platform, she seeks to equip women and men with tools for self-care, self-worth, self-love, healthy boundaries, and self-advocacy. Her vision is to inspire individuals to heal authentically, live intentionally, and cultivate healthier relationships within their communities.
Family wisdom, carried forward
Two traditions.
One loving heritage.
Dana’s journey of healing and restoration has also inspired her to embrace two treasured family traditions: creating homemade nightshade-free seasonings through Love @ First Spice and baking traditional sourdough bread through Love @ First Rise. Her nightshade-free seasonings were developed to provide flavorful alternatives for individuals who choose to avoid nightshade vegetables and spices, particularly those who experience food sensitivities. Her sourdough bread celebrates traditional fermentation, which can improve digestibility and reduce certain compounds that interfere with mineral absorption. Both creations reflect her commitment to intentional nutrition, wellness education, and preserving the culinary wisdom passed down through generations.
These two gifts carry a deeply personal meaning. Today, following her divorce, she is reclaiming the freedom to walk confidently in the gifts God has placed within her. Her maiden name, Love, and her grandmother’s maiden name, House, inspired the name Love in the House, a beautiful tribute to her family heritage and the generations of women whose wisdom, strength, and love helped shape her identity.
Faith · Courage · Authenticity
A new chapter.
A legacy of love.
For Dana, this new chapter is about more than creating seasonings and baking bread. It is about breaking generational cycles, restoring her voice, and leaving a legacy of faith, wellness, courage, and authenticity. One of her greatest joys is knowing that she can now teach her granddaughter not only how to cook, prepare nourishing foods, and honor their family’s traditions, but also how to recognize her worth, establish healthy boundaries, embrace her God-given gifts, and never feel compelled to wear a mask to be accepted, valued, or loved.
Dana’s story is a testimony that healing is possible, purpose can be rediscovered, and it is never too late to become who God created you to be.
